For this reason, we have built an extensive ‘multi-manager’ capability, looking to bring together the best-in-class managers across both traditional asset classes and alternatives such as absolute return funds and commodities.

All our multi-asset strategies use a disciplined and systematic process called Insight Alpha2. This proven blend of quantitative analysis and qualitative research allows our experienced Multi-Asset Group to continually monitor more than 5,000 funds worldwide. Today, we manage almost £724 million in multi-asset solutions (as at 31 December 2007) – spanning both relative and absolute-return strategies.
