With effect from 30 June there has been a change in the management of the International Bond, International Reserve and International Multi Manager Funds. Insight Investment reached an agreement to sell the Guernsey business, Insight Investment Management (CI) Limited (IIMCI) to Syndicate Asset Management (SAM), an AIM-listed specialist fund management group based in the UK.
 
The sale follows a strategic review of the Channel Islands business, which concluded that it did not form part of the plan for Insight’s expansion into continental Europe. Therefore advisers were appointed to seek a buyer who wanted to develop the Guernsey business as part of its strategic objectives.
 
Insight looked at several criteria in selecting a buyer for the company.  SAM is familiar with providing offshore products and the needs of offshore customers. They serve various clients including discretionary portfolio managers, private clients, IFAs, pension trustees, institutions and charities.
