Global Alternative Credit

Our Global alternative credit strategy employs a multi-strategy approach searching for opportunities across the credit spectrum including structured credit, leveraged finance, emerging market debt, private debt and esoteric credit instruments.

Regulatory actions have distorted credit market dynamics, forcing banks to retrench from their traditional financing role, creating an unprecedented opportunity for non-bank lenders.

Insight's global alternative credit strategy seeks to capitalize on this trend across higher risk/return lending opportunities in structured credit, leveraged finance, emerging market debt and esoteric credit markets.

We believe that, at this point in the credit cycle, a global perspective combined with top down sector rotation across public and private debt markets and sophisticated risk management are essential to successful credit investing.

Investment process

Insight's investment philosophy focuses on the delivery of consistent performance by virtue of three key investment principles: a broad opportunity set, diversification and precision. While neither concept, if looked at individually is necessarily unique, it is the way our investment managers combine and apply them that we believe is a unique approach to investment management. Investments may be executed through cash bonds/ loans and/ or through derivatives and we will seek to hedge the major risks that credit is exposed to.

The targeted rates of return are hypothetical returns, and are for illustrative purposes only. Accordingly, no assumptions or comparisons should be made based upon these returns. Hypothetical returns are subject to inherent limitations. One limitation is that the returns do not take into account the impact that market and economic risks, such as defaults, pre-payments, and reinvestment rates, may have on actual trading. In no circumstances should the targeted returns be regarded as a representation, warranty or prediction that the specific deal will reflect any particular performance or that it will achieve or is likely to achieve any particular result or that investors will be able to avoid losses, including total losses of their investment.
