INSIGHT INVESTMENT RECEIVES OBSR ‘A’ RATING FOR ABSOLUTE INSIGHT UK EQUITY MARKET NEUTRAL FUND

Insight Investment has received a highly regarded accolade by being awarded an ‘A’ rating from OBSR for the Absolute Insight UK Equity Market Neutral Fund.

Since inception, the Fund – which aims to provide attractive, absolute returns in all market conditions, with low volatility – has returned eight consecutive quarters of positive performance*, returning 7.0 per cent per annum** with volatility of just 2.0 per cent.

Given OBSR’s understanding of the fund managers’ philosophy, which incorporates a strong focus on risk and capital preservation, and their disciplined approach to portfolio construction, it was felt that the fund warranted inclusion in the OBSR Fund Ratings Service. An ‘ A’ rating reflects a strong investment process, which should lead to above average long-term results within in its investment style.

OBSR assesses funds against a number of criteria, including the strength of the investment team, process and investment style. The rating focuses on both qualitative and quantitative factors, with the former being more critical. An ‘A’ rating is defined by OBSR as ‘highly commendable’.

The Absolute Insight UK Equity Market Neutral Fund forms part of Insight’s absolute return strategy range, available for retail sale through discretionary fund managers and wholesale investment managers. They are also available to retail advisors through a number of platforms, including Cofunds, Hornbuckle Mitchell and Transact.
