Our currency strategy seeks to provide attractive, positive returns in all market conditions.

The strategy invests across global currency markets and has exhibited low correlations to more traditional asset classes, making it an excellent source of potential diversification within a wider portfolio, especially when volatility is rising or other asset classes are struggling.

We believe currencies, more than most investments, lend themselves to generating positive returns through all market environments. Trades are always made on a relative basis and the skill, judgement and timing of their execution are typically the primary determinants of returns, rather than the underlying direction of a specific market.

Potential benefits

Liquidity: currency markets are the most liquid in the world. This means our investment strategy can be effectively and efficiently implemented even when liquidity is limited in other asset classes.

Attractive track record: the strategy has generated positive returns and low correlations with mainstream asset classes since inception.

Robust process and risk controls: the strategy's managers follow an established investment process which is monitored and overseen by an independent risk team.

Experienced and well-resourced team: the specialist currency team manages over $13.9bn of currency exposure and is supported by a multi-disciplinary fixed income division of 34 US-based fixed income investment professionals.
