We operate a global technology department, comprised of product-focused teams, wholly responsible for the development and operational health of their applications and services.

We empower developers to achieve sustainable change for the business by keeping up to date on technology and approaches: utilising the latest languages, tooling, and platform offerings in .NET; continuing to maximise our investment in Azure Kubernetes Services to orchestrate our containerised workloads; and bringing in a new internal development platform built around technology such as GitHub Enterprise, Crossplane, and Backstage to accelerate our teams and keep friction low.

We continue to modernise our software estate into service-based and event-driven architectures. We are looking to the next phase in how we design and deliver our bespoke solutions to underpin the future ambitions of the business.

We are harnessing BNY’s Eliza platform to accelerate our technology ambitions and unlock new opportunities across the organisation.

Through practical initiatives such as the Eliza Bootcamp, our teams are building real, applied AI capability—using Eliza to automate time‑intensive processes, enhance decision‑making, improve data quality, and surface insights that were previously inaccessible.

This responsible and outcomes‑focused adoption of AI is helping us scale innovation consistently and securely, ensuring that our people are empowered with tools that amplify expertise and support smarter, more efficient ways of working.

Working within Technology
We have a global technology footprint, based principally out of our Manchester and London offices, but latterly investing meaningfully in our US and India locations: New York, Boston, San Francisco, Chennai, and Pune. Our approach remains the same: to support agile, collaborative, and remote team working with full connectivity between our colleagues globally.

We are currently preparing to move with BNY into the newly developed 4 Angel Square building in Manchester’s NOMA district. This modern, sustainable workspace will enhance collaboration through shared facilities, closer proximity between teams, and a vibrant environment designed to support innovation and community.
