Mihir Shah

Client Director, Client Solutions Group

Mihir joined Insight in April 2015 as a Client Director. Prior to Insight, Mihir spent seven years at Towers Watson as a senior investment consultant, advising pension funds and endowment funds on a range of aspects including investment strategy/asset allocation and mandate design. Mihir started his career at Barnett Waddingham, where he spent four years as an actuarial analyst. Mihir graduated from the London School of Economics with a BSc (Hons) in Actuarial Science. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries.

Gareth Colesmith

Gareth Colesmith

Head of Global Macro Research

As Insight’s Head of Global Rates and Macro Research, Gareth has oversight of Insight-managed government bond portfolios, in particular global, UK and inflation-linked portfolios as well as direct responsibility for managing European government bond portfolios. In addition, he was responsible for setting up the macro research function, which aims to consolidate and improve on our internal macro, economics and politics research, to the benefit of the whole investment team.

Gareth originally joined the Fixed Income Group at Insight in April 2003, following the acquisition of Rothschild Asset Management Limited (RAM), as a European fixed income portfolio manager. He joined RAM in 1998 as a graduate and assisted in the management of continental European bonds.

Gareth holds a BA (Hons) degree in Mathematics from Jesus College, Oxford University and is an Associate of the CFA Society of the UK.

David Jamieson

Senior Market Strategist, Financial Solutions Group

David joined Insight in September 2013 as a market strategist in the Financial Solutions Group. Prior to Insight, David spent 11 years at UBS in various roles, latterly as Head of UK Pension and Insurance Solutions. David has a BSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and is also a CFA charterholder.

Senior Solution Designer

Joe joined Insight in January 2018 and is a Solution Designer in the Client Solutions Group. Joe works on the design and delivery of investment solutions tailored to address the specific risk and return objectives of Insight’s clients. Prior to joining Insight, Joe spent four years at KPMG as an investment consultant, where he provided investment advice to UK-defined benefit pension schemes, including investment strategy advice, asset-liability modelling and investment manager research. He started his career in 2012 at Barclays Investment Bank as a finance analyst. Joe graduated from the University of Warwick with a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics. He is also a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries in the UK.

Solutions Designer

Emily joined Insight in July 2019 and is a Solution Designer in the Client Solutions Group. Emily works on the design and delivery of investment solutions tailored to address the specific risk and return objectives of Insight’s clients. Prior to joining Insight, Emily spent five years at Hymans Robertson as an investment consultant. Here, she advised DB and DC pension scheme clients on funding and investment strategy, manager selection and LDI. Emily graduated from Oxford University with a Masters in Mathematics (First Class). She also has an MSc (Distinction) in Actuarial Science from Cass Business School and is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.

Andy Burgess

Andy Burgess

Deputy Head of Investment Specialists

Andy joined Insight in August 2014 as a fixed income investment specialist. Andy joined Insight from GE Asset Management (GEAM) where he was a portfolio manager responsible for managing the Euro Fixed Income Fund. Prior to this, he held various portfolio manager roles at GEAM’s predecessor companies. He started his investment management career in 1997 at National Mutual Life as an assistant portfolio manager, with a focus on Far East equities. Andy graduated from the University of Bristol with a BSc in Economics and Economic History and is an Associate of the CFA Society of the UK.
