Insight is adapting proven cashflow and risk-management techniques used for decades with large institutional pension funds for individuals. New approaches developed in both the UK and US aim to offer more predictable income, more flexibility and greater long-term security in retirement compared with traditional retirement options, making the most of Insight’s fixed income expertise to build portfolios of bonds that offer cashflows in line with retirees’ needs – alongside a focus on the reliability and security that retirees need and expect.

Insight treats liquidity as an active part of fixed income investing, combining cash expertise, short-term credit and platform connectivity including BNY’s LiquidityDirect platform to help clients manage cash more strategically across vehicles, currencies and maturities.

In our money market funds, we seek to retain flexibility within the portfolio to take advantage of opportunities. MMFs offer a compelling investment, benefiting from elevated short-term interest rates, making them competitive compared to traditional bank deposits. Interest rate expectations can shift significantly within weeks and, against this backdrop, we’re observing investors favouring flexible positioning along the yield curve, increasingly utilising short-term instruments.

Insight is making institutional-quality fixed income capabilities available to a broader range of investors through a growing range of investment vehicles, including active ETFs, pooled funds and separately managed accounts (SMAs). We are applying the same investment expertise used by pension schemes and institutional investors to meet the needs of wealth managers, advisers and individual investors.

By combining deep investment expertise with flexible delivery models, we aim to give investors more choice in how they access solutions, whether through funds, ETFs, personalised portfolios or retirement income solutions.

Insight is preparing for the future by evolving how investors access institutional-quality investment solutions. We are exploring developments such as tokenisation and digital assets where they can improve efficiency, access and the investor experience.

At the same time, we are expanding the ways clients can access our capabilities through funds, ETFs, SMAs and other investment structures.
