    Lower volatility

    Lower volatility

An unconstrained approach means access to much wider sources of return. This should lessen the downside volatility experienced by investing only in a portfolio of credit or a portfolio of government bonds.

Historical performance for Insight’s absolute return bond strategy shows a strong divergence with returns from credit or government bonds.

A strategy which is benchmark-unaware is free to seek attractive value in bonds where it can find them. So, it can profit from either an increase or a decrease in bond prices.
