Ausblick

Die Volkswirtschaften im Euroraum stehen weiterhin unter anhaltendem Preisdruck. Wie in anderen Regionen besteht das Risiko, dass die Inflation im Jahr 2026 schneller ansteigt, wobei die Dauer erhöhter Niveaus von externen Faktoren abhängen dürfte. Aktuell erwarten wir, dass sich die Inflation im Jahr 2026 bei rund 2,0 % einpendelt und im Jahr 2027 moderat zurückgeht.

Wir gehen davon aus, dass die Europäische Zentralbank kurzfristige Preisdynamiken nicht vollständig ignorieren wird und mögliche Zweitrundeneffekte genau beobachtet. Gleichzeitig startet sie aus einer vergleichsweise starken Position, da die Inflation nahe am Zielwert liegt und die Erwartungen weitgehend verankert sind.

Chris Brown

Head of Money Markets

Chris joined Insight (then Clerical Medical Investment Management) in 1994 as a member of the in-house Securities Lending Team, responsible for collateral management and corporate actions. In 1997, he transferred to the Money Market Team as a trader and in 1999, Chris was promoted to a portfolio manager with responsibility for money market/cash funds denominated in sterling, euro and US dollars. He assumed responsibility for the Money Markets Team in June 2017. Chris holds a BA (Hons) degree in Art History from the Courtauld Institute of Art (London). He is a registered Securities and Financial Derivatives Representative and holds the Investment Management Certificate from the CFA Society of the UK.

Robert O’Riordan

Institutional Business Development Director

Robert joined Insight in January 2016 as an Institutional Business Development Director. The Business Development Team is responsible for direct marketing, including to corporates, pension schemes and charities. Prior to Insight, Robert worked at Morgan Stanley for over 14 years, latterly as a vice president in liquidity sales.

He holds a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Syracuse University and the Investment Management Certificate from the CFA Society of the UK. Robert also holds the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) designation.

Benno Jöckel

Director Institutional Asset Management

Benno joined Insight’s European Distribution Team in May 2025 and is an experienced professional in institutional asset management, specialising in client relationship management and business development. He currently serves as Director – Institutional Asset Management at Insight, where he focuses on serving institutional clients in the DACH region. Prior to this, Benno held senior roles at Swiss Life Asset Managers and Union Investment, where he was responsible for advising and developing relationships with institutional investors, including pension schemes and insurance companies. His expertise encompasses both public and private market investment solutions, with a particular emphasis on liability-driven investments and fixed income strategies. Benno studied in Frankfurt, Southampton, Berkeley and holds a Master’s degree in Finance from European Business School in London.

Portfolio Manager

James joined Insight as part of the Money Market Team in July 2017. His main responsibilities include repo trading and gilt financing. Prior to Insight, James spent nine years at LCH Limited as a portfolio manager. He started his career in 1999 at Bear Stearns as a fixed income financing trader.
